How do we make gardens or green spaces accessible to people who don’t have them? Especially in the city.
I take my hat off to all the Guerrilla Gardeners out there who give up their time to make our environment more pleasant. I would love to give them a hand, so how about this as an idea for television? I do my own version of Guerrilla Gardening – legally adding ‘green’ to the city streets with fabulous temporary gardens which pop up overnight?
Temporary gardens are very achievable and do not compromise city infrastructures or building foundations. They are fun, engaging and add just a tiny bit each time to improving psychological health of people and carbon footprint of the planet. Imagine if we could fit our busiest streets with green? Imagine if we could bring gardens to high rise or built up ares where people have no access to green at all?
I would love to hear your thoughts.
