Hi, I am Danny Clarke, garden designer and TV presenter.

My blog is an opportunity to share the great ideas behind the scenes at my company 'The Black Gardener'! Please get involved, share and be inspired! My team and I love what we do and it really matters to us what you think.

About Danny

Dannahue “Danny” Clarke is a British horticulturist who co-hosts the BBC series The Instant Gardener with Helen Skelton.

Clarke was born in Oxford to immigrants from Jamaica. He… founded his own garden design company in 1997, and called himself The Black Gardener….The name led to him being noticed and invited to screen test for The Instant Gardener, a daytime BBC programme that started in 2015. He also appeared as a presenter for the BBC on the RHS Chelsea and RHS Tatton Flower shows and Tree of the Year for Channel 4 in 2016. (Source Wikipedia).

Danny is currently presenting garden design with the ITV this morning team and appearing in various other press, television and radio productions.

Ideas

Together my team and I live and breathe ideas daily. From fantastic gardens to brainstorming TV shows we can create show stopping designs and really engaging content. Please get in touch, we would love to hear from you, even if it is just for a brainstorm.

Photography

The Black Gardener owns the biggest Danny Clarke related image library available. I can let you have the rights to my images. Drop me a line, explain what the images are for, and my team will send you a print quality version. I can also arrange custom photo shoots for you if you prefer.

Consulting

As well as being a TV Presenter I am actively designing and building gardens every day. If you are interested in having your own 'Black Gardener' garden with me directing, please get in touch and I will be happy to help.

Products

It makes absolute sense for me to develop my own product range and I will update you when the products launch. If you have a product or service you want me to endorse, use the contact button on this site to tell me all about it. I could even organise your own sponsored garden TV show!
